Support Green Corfu

Alex and Christina Green Corfu

Alex and Christina

We moved back to Corfu some years ago because we had a dream. Our dream was to be able to enjoy our lives and raise our children on this beautiful island. To live in harmony with nature, as cliché as it may sound! Corfu is a land of energy and nature, the power of nature can be felt all over the island and has a healing effect on all people living here, as long as they are even a tiny bit open to feel the vibrations.

But Corfu has also been seriously wounded by the onslaught of mass tourism. This model of all-inclusive hotels selling nothing but sun, beach and cheap food and booze has destroyed the landscape of many of the most beautiful beaches of Corfu and has left (and is leaving) nothing on the island than tons of garbage and waste.

So, we decided to put our money where our mouths were and to try and do things differently. We developed in three years time, with no capital whatsoever, just with lots of personal work, Green Corfu as you know it. On our website, we provide info on many different things to do on Corfu, from walking to sailing, from horse-riding to meditation. Many more such activities are starting all over Corfu every year, alternative, conscious holidays are definitively becoming a strong trend on Corfu, and that’s a great thing! GreenCorfu.com offers lots of info on the island, and we showcase more than 20 accommodations on the island, most of them around our village, Arillas.

Things are changing fast, not only in the area of tourism but also in nutrition, alternative therapies, human relations consciousness in general. We are connecting with more and more nice, loving people with great ideas every day. A joint vision is developing, a vision of a truly green Corfu island in all aspects. I feel I can’t describe this vision adequately, but I know it’s there.

Support Green CorfuThe only problem is that developments are going so fast, it’s hard to keep up with everything. And as we are still a very-very small business, our cash-flow has not allowed us to do all the things we have in mind. Frankly, we could use some help…!

My question to you is this: Would you be prepared to help Green Corfu? In what way? Would you book your holiday through us, would you be prepared to donate some amount to us? What would you expect from us in order not to feel tricked or cheated?

We would love to know your opinion, so please fill in our poll and send us your comments!
